Production Maintenance Technician
This hands-on position involves performing regular preventativemaintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and implementingsolutions that minimize downtime and maximize productivity. You’ll collaborateclosely with the production and engineering teams, support continuousimprovement initiatives, and uphold safety and quality standards in afast-paced, innovation-driven environment.
We are looking for 2 production maintenance technicians for dayshift. Please review the list of responsibilities and qualifications. This isour ideal list, we will consider candidates that do not necessarily have allthe qualifications but have sufficient experience and talent.
Responsibilities
· Preventive Maintenance: Regularly inspect and service responsible equipment to avoidbreakdowns including production assembly line filling, packing, labeling,capping etc. machines. Perform scheduled maintenance repairs of productionequipment. Read and interpret equipmentmanual and work order to perform required maintenance and service.
· Production Lines Set-ups: Help to prepare and set upmachinery for scheduled production runs as required.
· Troubleshooting & Repairs: Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulicissues—especially those involving PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers).
· Equipment Calibration: Ensure filling and packing machines dispense accurate quantities andoperate within quality standards.
· Documentation: Maintain logs of maintenance activities, downtime, and correctiveactions. Help in drafting operational procedures.
· Safety Compliance: Follow GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and EH&S (EnvironmentalHealth & Safety) protocols. Ensurethat safety standards are maintained in the course of performing duties.
· PLC Programming & Diagnostics: Modify or update PLC programs, interpret ladder logic, and use HMIinterfaces to monitor machine performance.
· Work Environment: Ensure that the facility areasand work environment are free of hazardous objects and substance
- Teamwork and Communication: Able to maintain effective communication with PM and Production teams
Qualifications
· Strong understanding of electromechanicalsystems, especially in production environments.
· Experience with PLC systems like Siemens,Allen-Bradley, or Omron etc.
· Ability to read schematics and technicalmanuals.
· Certifications such as Millwright,Electrician, or Instrumentation Technician are preferred.
· Some knowledge of specialty fields, such as hydraulics, PLC logic,plumbing, general contracting, welding, HVAC/refrigeration, preferred
· Nice to have - familiarity with cosmeticindustry standards and cleanroom protocols.
